Nice work Pan! I think that we agree on this topic!! I wish I would have read this earlier! I like to know that someone else out there feels the same! I know the feelings of uncertainty! It is nice to know that God does have a plan, though! :)

Nicely written! I agree that there was a definite difference between how Du and Jasmine were "Americanized." Was one better than the other? I'm not really sure. I also agree that even though, yes, Jasmine has moved to American and "become" an American, it doesn't mean that she has to totally abandon her past!

Nice article! It's interesting to hear a real story about your friend from Sri Lanka. I agree that Jasmine just "reinvents" herself, she's not running away.

WOW! This was a great post! I feel like I understand the framelessness feelings of Elizabeth and Bessie a lot better now! You did a great job of incorporating quotes as well. I especially like your closing paragraph about how even though bad things happen and you try to erase them it "will always be noticable in the sunlight."

Nicely done! I really like your introduction into the topic. It's so true, I agree that choices, good or bad, can affect our lives. We need to just keep on living!

Rene,
I really enjoyed your article! You did a very good job of combining Ono's thoughts with the idea of nostolgia. I didn't even think about including his feelings on his daughters wedding or how he needs to realize that what he does affects other people. I like that you used the his quote about the honesty of painters and that he needs to take his own advise! Oh, and the candy.....hahahaha!!!
